Shinsuke Nakamura made a huge statement on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, as he took the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor, to the woodshed, dominating him in a non-title match to kick off the night. From the start of the match, the two superstars aimed to put on a show for those in attendance. Unfortunately for Balor, however, it was Nakamura who was able to get the quick jump on the Intercontinental champion, and consistently hound him with a string of punches and kicks.

Towards the end of the match, Nakamura was able to land some bigger hits on Balor, including diving off the outside of the top rope and kneeing Balor in the head. With the duo back in the ring, Nakamura continued to assault the champion, tossing him out of the ring and nearly winning thanks to a count out. However, when Balor made his way back into the ring, Nakamura landed a Kinshasa for the win.
