Tessa Blanchard On Her Slammiversary Main Event : ‘It Felt Like We Did Something Important’

Talking about her recent big match at Slammiversary on Busted Open Radio, Tessa Blanchard feels that she helped pro wrestling evolve once again. “I feel, honestly, like I was lost in the match and at the end, I was overcome with emotion. Even when I came to the back, emotion just came over me. It felt like we did something important.”

Tessa faced Sami Callihan in the first intergender main event in IMPACT history. Tessa states that she knows that wrestling is always evolving, but she doesn’t feel out of place mixing it up with the boys. “I trained with Cedric Alexander. I was in there with the guys seven days a week. Now to go out there and have matches regularly with the guys, I feel like it’s taken my level of intensity, aggression, timing, transitions, everything has been elevated because of that. I’m a huge proponent of it and I think there’s a way to do it.”
