United States Champion Ricochet has been the victim of the Club’s recent reformation. AJ Styles beat Ricochet on RAW to earn this opportunity. Thanks to the inference of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, Styles won the match and the championship.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows attacked Ricochet before the match began. Styles capitalized andtook control but Ricochet fought back and took his opponent down with a dropkick. Styles sent Ricochet face-first into the corner but the champion hit a rolling dropkick. The champion hit a standing shooting star press off the apron.

Anderson distracted Ricochet and Styles capitalized by hitting the champion from behind. Styles sent Ricochet tumbling into the corner and hit him with a backbreaker. The challenger grounded Ricochet and controlled the pace of the match. Ricochet persevered and dropped Styles with a kick to the head. He also dove onto Anderson and Gallows outside the ring. Both men rocked each other with kicks and Styles planted Ricochet with a brainbuster for a near fall. Ricochet gained the upper hand with a shooting star press but Anderson stopped a pin when Styles’ foot was under the rope. The champion countered an attack from Anderson but Gallows tripped the champion on the top rope. Styles hit an elevated Styles Clash for the win.
