WWE NXT Live Results (10/2/19)

A video package recaps the brewing rivalry between Imperium and Kushida ahead of WALTER’s match with Kushida next week.

Pete Dunne vs. Danny Burch

Dunne and Burch exchange technical holds. The match is a stalemate until Dunne nails Burch with a clothesline. The Bruiserweight suplexes Burch on the apron and stomps his arm on the steel steps. Dunne stomps Burch’s hand in the ring again. A clothesline and a dropkick give Burch some momentum. Burch stomps Dunne’s hand and hits him with an uppercut. Both men exchange strikes. Dunne drops Burch with a suplex, stomps his hands and powerbombs him for a near fall.

Burch headbutts Dunne, powerbombs him and knees him in the face. A rope-hung DDT gets Burch a near fall. Dunne hits the Bitter End for the win.

Winner: Pete Dunne

After the match, Damian Priest attacks Dunne.

Backstage, in an interview, Cole tells his stablemates he’s focused on fulfilling the prophecy. “Screw Bálor,” said Cole.

A video package hypes up the match between the Street Profits and the Undisputed Era.

Wale introduces the Street Profits and comes to the ring with them.

NXT Tag Team Championship: the Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Dawkins and O’Reilly start the match. Fish and Ford tag in and exchange strikes. O’Reilly tags in and grounds Ford but Dawkins floors O’Reilly with a shoulder block. Dawkins slams Fish and Ford dropkicks him. Ford grounds Fish and dropkicks both of the challengers. Fish takes control and O’Reilly takes Ford down. Ford kips up after some knees to the midsection but O’Reilly maintains his momentum.

The challengers continue to dominate Ford. Fish and O’Reilly double-suplex Ford.

Another nasty knee flips Ford. Fish suplexes Ford three times for a two count. O’Reilly and Fish simultaneously kick Ford. Fish keeps grounding Ford, who perseveres and hits O’Reilly with a Uranage. O’Reilly hits rolling butterfly suplexes and the Undisputed Era double-teams Ford. Fish locks in an abdominal stretch and O’Reilly adds extra leverage. Ford finally tags Dawkins, who clears house. Dawkins dishes out spinning splashes and spears Fish.

A stiff punch rocks O’Reilly but he dodges a spear. Dawkins sends O’Reilly crashing onto Fish. O’Reilly hits a diving knee onto Dawkins’ knee. O’Reilly locks in a kneebar but Ford slams Fish onto O’Reilly to break it up.

Ford hits a Frog Splash on Ford for a near fall. O’Reilly breaks up a double-team maneuver. Ford dives onto the ring post onto everyone. Strong distracts Ford, which lets the champions hit the high-low combination for the win.

Winners and still NXT Tag Team Champions: the Undisputed Era

Cole walks onto the stage and poses with his stablemates. Tommasso Ciampa walks right up to him and stares at his belt. The former champion stares down the current one to end the show.
