Winner- Myles Borne
Grade: C
You could barely see anything, and what you could see was King and Borne not selling a single thing. This match was not good. Nothing registered, nothing felt like it mattered. Next time, let’s keep the lights on and maybe act like getting DDT’d on the steps hurts.
The Greatest North American
North American Champion Ethan Page bemons the fact that he’s not a double champion. AAA’s Dr. Wagner Jr is sitting in the crowd. Page blames Wagner Jr. for costing him the AAA Latin American Championship. It’s Wagner’s fault Page didn’t win the title at WWE World’s Collide. Page personally invites Wagner Jr. to watch him destroy Tavion Heights at NXT No Mercy.
Jr. bows up at Page. Page tells Wagner to get in the ring so he can embarrass him. Wagner Jr. hops the barricade. Page yells for referee. The bell rings, and Wagner lands a few strikes and traps Page in an ankle lock. Page taps out immediately. Wagner removes his mask, and it’s Tavion Heights!
Grade: C+
Nice twist with the Heights reveal. This angle is not working, but this segment was passible and didn’t overstay its welcome.
WWE Speed Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Candice LeRae vs. Lainey Reid
LeRae and Reid start fast. The fight spills out to the apron. Superkick by Reid. LeRae tries a German suplex. Reid puts on the brakes. LeRae drops Reid with a facebuster on the apron. Springboard splash by LeRae. Women’s Speed and North American Champion Sol Ruca and Zaria are watching the match. After a series of reversals, Reid destroys LeRae with a running knee strike for the win.
Winner and New Number One Contender, Lainey Reid!
Grade: C+
As far as Speed matches go this one wasn’t terrible. This concept is a hard one to judge, since nothing is given a chance to develop. LeRae and Reid did a bunch of moves very quickly. That’s it.
Arianna Grace vs. Jordynne Grace
Grace is in control early. Arianna goes low and pulls Grace’s hair. Grace fires up and pins Arianna with a spinout slam.
Winner- Jordynne Grace

After the match, Stacks Lorenzo appears and checks on Arianna. Mariah May runs down to ringside with a kendo stick. Grace grabs a chair. Referee and security break it up. Stevie and Mr. Stone appear on the ramp. Stevie books Grace vs. May at NXT No Mercy in a weapons match. Mr. Stone says they need to kick it up a notch. Grace and May can bring all the weapons they want, because the match will be in a steel cage.
Grade: C+
This was a nothing-burger of a match. Arianna Grace is a fun character who never gets to do much in the ring. At this point, it’s just odd. The escalation here of May and Grace’s feud makes perfect sense. These two are in a blood feud, so let’s put them in a cage and let them kill each other. Fun times.
NXT’s Rockstar has Arrived
NXT Women’s champion Jacy Jayne says she is choosing to act like getting pinned by Rhea Ripley last week didn’t happen. Jayne drones on and on about being better than the number one contender, Lola Vice. Vice interrupts and talks about how she earned her opportunity, whereas Jayne took the easy way out. Vice says she isn’t the same person she was last year. She’s more than a fighter. Vice is a pro-wrestler. Jayne tells Vice that she’s her family’s biggest disappointment. Vice drops Jayne with a spinning backfist.
Grade: B-
Good promo to build to the Jayne/Vice title match. Vice has come a long way since debuting in NXT. Vice has a good amount of momentum heading into the match. Will they pull the trigger at No Mercy? Let us know what you think in the comments!
Joe Hendry and Chase U vs. DarkState
Hendry and Chase U clear the ring. Dixon takes out all of DarkState with a dive. Hendry and Co. pose in the ring. Backstage, TNA’s Mike Santana is shown walking in the arena. DarkState eventually hits their finish on Dixon for the win.
Winners- DarkState
Grade: C+
Standard stuff here. Nice seeing Hendry in a match on NXT, and the kids from Chase U (Connors and Dixon) seem to be coming along nicely.
Moose, TNA Knockout’s Champion Ash by Elegance, and several other TNA Superstars are shown in the crowd for the next match.
Winner-Takes-All Match: NXT Champion Oba Femi vs. TNA World Champion Trick Williams
Williams lands a few strikes. Femi immediately attempts a powerbomb. Williams misses a Trick Shot, leading to a stalemate. The fight spills out of the ring. Femi destroys Williams with a chop on the apron. Santana hops the barricade and argues with Williams. Santana joins the commentary desk. Williams jaws with Santana at the commentary desk. After a slap from Williams, Santana decks Williams, causing a disqualification.
No Contest
Williams rolls in the ring. Every TNA Superstar in the crowd rushes the ring and attacks Williams. The NXT locker room empties, and a massive brawl breaks out. Ricky Saints slowly strolls down to ringside and grabs the NXT Championship. Before Saints can pick it up. Femi rises from his grave and snatches the championship from Saints. As chaos reigns in the background, Femi and Saints have a tense standoff.
Grade: B
Good match, chaotic, but predictable ending. This match was never going to have an ending, but TNA finally showing some teeth was long overdue.
WWE NXT Review:
Tonight’s show was a mixed bag of weird gimmick matches, no-selling, and odd booking decisions. The TNA “invasion” was a long-overdue highlight, but it came at the expense of one of the better main events we have seen on NXT TV in recent memory. The main event, despite the DQ finish, was the match of the night. What did you think of the show? Let us know in the comments!
