Wrestle Kingdom 14: Night 2 Predictions
By Ross W Berman IV

The following predictions were found stuffed inside an empty Red Bull can, and transcribed by WrestleZone.

Pre-Show Match- NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Championship Gauntlet Match: Ryusuke Taguchi & The Most Violent Players (Togi Makabe & Toru Yano) (c) vs. CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI & Robbie Eagles) vs. Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL & Shingo Takagi) vs. Suzuki-gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Taichi, & El Desperado)
There is absolutely no way the champions retain. The 6-man Tag Division has been in dire straits and this match is likely to shake things up for the new decade. YOSHI-HASHI will be one to watch, as he finally won his first match in the Tokyo Dome last night. It’s entirely possible that he leads his team to victory.
Long Shot Prediction:
YOSHI-HASHI actually gets the win for his team.
WINNERS:
CHAOS

Jushin Thunder Liger Retirement Match: Jushin Thunder Liger & Naoki Sano vs. Ryu Lee (fka Dragon Lee) & Hiromu Takahashi
This match will make me cry.
Long Shot Prediction:
I will cry a lot.
WINNERS:
Who cares? Liger is retiring. *wails in sorrow*

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match: Bullet Club (El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori) (c) vs. Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH)
A lack of depth in the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Division has led many to forget that Roppongi 3K are pretty much one of the greatest tag team of the past few years. While Phantasmo & Ishimori have been phenomenal foils, they’re both better suited for singles competition. It’s Roppongi 3K’s time to shine again. Whoever loses gets to go on to possible singles stardom. Whoever wins is stuck being Jr. Tag Champs.
Long Shot Prediction:
…I got nothing TBH.
WINNERS:
Roppongi 3K

RPW British Heavyweight Championship Match: Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. SANADA
Zack Sabre Jr. has been riding SANADA for his facial hair, his fashion, and his wrestling at every press conference, and even held BUSHI in a painful submission last night. Expect SANADA to deliver a receipt.
Long Shot Prediction:
SANADA needs to bust out the Moonsault because Sabre doesn’t tap. Ever.
WINNER:
SANADA

IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Juice Robinson
This match will tell us more about the NJPW/AEW relationship than the Jericho/Tanahashi match. This is a match that NJPW originally scheduled for October, but travel issues led to Moxley getting stripped of the title. Likely Juice Robinson will finally take back the IWGP United States Title and bring the US Title on the upcoming tour of North America, but if he doesn’t, it means NJPW is basically daring AEW to work with them.
Long Shot Prediction:
Double Champ Juice Robinson
WINNER:
Juice Robinson

NEVER Openweight Championship Match: KENTA (c) vs. Hirooki Goto
Goto needs this win. KENTA has essentially pulled Goto from the upper-mid card back into the middle of the pack with this feud. A loss for Goto would pretty much render him a joke…which might be the whole point but we’ll see.
Long Shot Prediction:
Shibata Gets Involved In The Match
WINNER:
Hirooki Goto

IWGP Double Title Runner-Up Match: Jay White vs. Kota Ibushi
A rematch of the 29th G1 Climax Finals, White & Ibushi are both entering the match with beat-up bodies and wounded pride. White needs the win here, if he’s going to remain a potent heel threat. Ibushi will rebuild over 2020, but tonight won’t be his night.
Long Shot Prediction:
Ibushi unleashes more of those shoot punches from last night.
WINNER:
Jay White

If Tanahashi Wins He Receives Shot At AEW Championship: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Chris Jericho
A heatless dream match that was turned into one of the most anticipated matches of the weekend. If there is anyone that can heal the bad blood between AEW & NJPW its Tanahashi. Not only will this be an amazing contest, but the ramifications are possibly historic.
Long Shot Prediction:
Tanahashi wins this match, AND wins the AEW Championship later this year.
WINNER:
Hiroshi Tanahashi

IWGP Double Title Match: IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. IWGP Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito
It took Hiroshi Tanahashi 3 tries to beat Shinsuke Nakamura at the Tokyo Dome. It took Kazuchika Okada three tries to beat Hiroshi Tanahashi. Now Tetsuya Naito has his third chance to beat Kazuchika Okada at the Dome and he’s probably going to lose because The Rainmaker will be carrying the Olympic Torch in April. Strapping every title to Okada before he carries that torch is the only fiscally responsible decision.
Long Shot Prediction: Naito busts out the Stardust Press.
WINNER: Kazuchika Okada
