If you watched AEW Revolution, you’ll know that it was a success inside the ring. Now, thanks to the numbers coming in, we know that it was a success outside the ring as well. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer, Dave Meltzer goes into detail about the PPV’s success on various platforms.

When compared to past AEW shows, Revolution drew fans in favorably. On FITE, Revolution was the most viewed AEW show to date, and one of the highest performing broadcasts in the platform’s history. On B/R Live, the show was 10% up from Full Gear, drawing a similar audience number to Double or Nothing. This would be around 37,000 buys, a high number in the world of iPPV.

The FITE numbers are boosted slightly by the UK’s lack of a television PPV option this time out thanks to the closing of ITV Box Office. Still, the numbers seem to indicate that Revolution will land just behind Double or Nothing by all metics at worst, and could surpass the AEW debut show. With Dynamite now in full swing, there’s seemingly nowhere to go but up for the fledgling promotion’s biggest shows.
