Number One Contenders Tournament: Michael Elgin vs. Sami Callihan
Callihan is limping due to the ankle injury he suffered while fighting Ken Shamrock. Eglin points at Callihan’s ankle. Elgin smile. Elgin single legs Callihan. Callihan slaps Elgin. Elgin drives his elbow into Callihan’s ankle. Callihan goes after Elgin’s eyes. Callihan tries to set up a piledriver. Elgin double legs Callihan and tries to work an ankle lock. Callihan escapes under the bottom rope. Callihan manages to hit a hangman’s DDT. Elgin and Callihan fight outside the ring.
Elgin drives Callihan’s leg into the barricade. Elgin continues to work over Callihan’s leg. Elgin and Callihan exchange strikes. Callihan floors Elgin with a lariat. Elgin puts Callihan in a single leg crab. Callihan can’t stand. Elgin tries to set up a lariat but Callihan just drops to the mat. Elgin tries to pick up Callihan. Callihan counters with a back suplex. Callihan tries the Cactus Special. Elgin counter with a buckle bomb. Elgin and Callihan exchange strikes again. Eglin land a back fist followed by the Elgin Bomb for the win.
