IMPACT Wrestling Results – November 30, 2023

Welcome to WrestleZone’s live coverage of IPWF Throwback Throwdown 2023!

Josh Mathews and Alex Shelley welcome us from commentary before they run down the card.

Kamikaze vs. Rapid Delivery Pete (Rich Swann)

“We want pizza” chants start the bout before the lock up. Swann takes Kamikaze down with an arm drag and starts another pizza chant. Kamikaze turns things around and lands a couple of leaping chops to the head from the top rope. Kamikaze clamps down on Swann’s shoulder and then applies a sleeper. Swann finally breaks free and lands a standing frog splash for the win.

Winner: Rapid Delivery Pete (Rich Swann)

An announcer welcomes out DJ 2 Large (Moose), who does some dancing and addresses his next challenger when the $369,000 Man interrupts and a challenge is laid out for later.

David Penzer cuts a backstage promo on behalf of Neptune (Shera). The Butcher (Rhino) and Scott D’Amore respond.

We see footage of Red Letter (Jody Threat) beating Lady Bird Johnstone (Jessicka) “last week.” Threat cuts a promo backstage when Rapid Delivery Pete interrupts.

Neptune (Shera) vs. Frank The Butcher (Rhino)

Rhino and D’Amore yell out “chop chop chop” frequently to keep with the gimmick. They spill to the outside where they slam each other’s faces into the apron. Back inside, Shera distracts the ref while Penzer strikes Rhino. Shera leaps off the top but Rhino gets his boot up. Rhino delivers chops and then runs Shera over with a big clothesline to finish it.

Winner: Frank The Butcher (Rhino)

D’Amore throws a broom at Penzer after the match.

The Sunday Morning Express (Chris Sabin & Jack Price) vs. The Hard Workers (Deaner & Jake Something)

Something and Price start the bout. Price accidentally works over Sabin’s arm without realizing Deaner slipped away. Sabin attempts to leap off the top but he’s scared of heights. By the time he jumps, Deaner blocks with a boot. In the end, Sabin steals the pin on Something.

Winners: Sunday Morning Express (Sabin & Price)

Ace and Gia make fun of Dreamer for not smoking. Dreamer eventually finds Jody Threat when Brian Myers interrupts and wonders why Dreamer has his bag.

Rip Razor (Ace Austin) & Rusty Iron (Gia Miller) vs. Colt McCoy (Eddie Edwards) & Georgia Cobb (Jordynne Grace)

Ace and Eddie start after Ace makes out with Gia. Grace comes in and bodyslams a screaming Gia. Eddie and Grace double team Ace and Gia with comedic offense. Eddie gloats too long and Gia low blows him. Grace finishes the match by spinning Gia around before dropping her for a pinfall.

Winners: Colt McCoy (Eddie Edwards) & Georgia Cobb (Jordynne Grace)

We hear from the Masked Brother ahead of his title match.

We see footage from “last week” of Jason Hotch hitting Trey Miguel with Eat Defeat only for Rohit Raju to pin Hotch to win the three-way and become number one contender.

Television Title: DJ 2 Large (c) (Moose) vs. The Masked Brother (Frankie Kazarian)

They start off with a dance battle shortly before the $369,000 Man gets ejected from ringside. After the break, Masked Brother tries to put DJ away by pinning with his foot on the rope. He argues with the ref, who shoves Brother into a cover. DJ finally gains momentum again when two henchmen run down and he has to take them out at the same time. Masked Brother uses a weapon and the ref counts three.

Winner AND NEW Television Champion: The Masked Brother (Frankie Kazarian)

Tournament Finals: Tim Burr (Josh Alexander) vs. Boris Alexiev (Santino Marella)

Josh chops Santino early on, which sends Santino to the outside to recover. Josh does a corner splash followed by a Tim Burr bulldog off the top. John E. Bravo attempts to get involved but Santino accidentally claws Bravo. Josh leaps off the top to take Santino down and then pins him for the win.

Winner: Tim Burr (Josh Alexander)

The locker room empties out to celebrate Burr’s victory.
