Mickie James Was Cleared Medically By WWE Before COVID-19 Pandemic, Plans For A Return

Mickie James hasn’t been on WWE television in quite some time, partially because of an injury suffered but also because she’s taking all the precautions necessary during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a duo interview with Chris Van Vliet that also features SoCal Val of IMPACT and TNA fame, Mickie gave the down-low on her new streaming show GAW (“Grown Ass Women”) that features her, Val and Lisa Marie Varon, but she also gave some details regarding her current status with WWE.

“The doc had already cleared me, so I was literally just getting that last two weeks to get cleared to come back to in-ring action and everything got shut down,” she said.

Mickie is sure to be extra safe during this time. She’s not as concerned about her or her husband, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis or their son Donovan, but she’s doing it for some of her older family members with health issues.

“It’s more about my mom who gets asthma and bronchitis certain times of the year and she just gets allergies and stuff and then, my grandma who also, she smoked forever and she’s 77 years old and she’s feeble and if she was to catch this thing, it would be the end of her in that sense. I hate to say that, but that’s what this virus really jumps on and that’s who’s been the most affected on that side, so that’s why I wear the mask the most.”
