Report: WWE Will Debut A New United States Championship Design On RAW Tonight

The WWE United States Championship is about to get a facelift.

According to @WrestleVotes, the long-rumored update to the United States Championship will debut on tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. It was noted that the title has a “clean, yet prestigious” look, but no other details were shared.

It was also noted by Belt Fan Dan that the design was finalized months ago, and a source claims the replicas will be available for purchase tonight after the debut or tomorrow.

The United States Championship’s lineage dates all the way back to 1975 when Jim Crockett created the belt for Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. Harley Race was the inaugural champion. The current design has been in place since WWE reactivated the title, with the minor change of updating the company logo coming in 2014. The current iteration is also the longest-used design of all of the active WWE championships and it is the last of the ‘legacy’ designs to be updated.
