Ricky Morton Praises The ‘First Class Treatment’ By AEW; Says ‘Not Only To Me, That’s Everybody’

Ricky Morton was honored to be a part of AEW Dynamite during Tag Team Appreciation Night and told as such to Bill Apter in a new interview. Morton may have got his noggin knocked by FTR after experiencing a double spike piledriver, but one half of the Rock ‘N Roll Express remembered how great it felt to be in the mix once more.

“After 40 something years in this business I still hadn’t had enough yet,” Morton said to start things off. “It’s all I’ve ever done and to get an opportunity to be on AEW TV it’s another dream come true, to have these guys to bring us on the air.”

Apter followed up by asking the “best seller in the business” what the vibe was backstage as they got ready for the show.

“First class treatment and that’s not only to me, that’s everybody,” Morton told Apter before talking specifically about the cohesiveness between colleagues backstage. “The atmosphere with the boys, one thing I didn’t see, Bill, and I really didn’t see and I don’t know if it’s because everybody’s separated or anything, but I didn’t feel that jealousy spot that you feel a lot. Especially if you’ve been in the business for a long time you can tell just by reading somebody, but it was cool to see everybody work together, especially the show that we were on, it’s a lot.”
