Breezango Win Triple Threat, Earn NXT Tag Title Shot

Tonight’s NXT TakeOver: XXX pre-show featured a No. 1 Contender’s match for the NXT Tag Team Championships, where Breezango, Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch, and Legado del Fantasma all went at it. When all was said and done, though, it was Breezango who shocked the world and walked out with as the newest contenders for the titles.

Things ended for everyone after Lorcan caught Wilde with a viscious uppercut late in the match. Using this to his advantage, Tyler Breeze was able to land a brutal superkick onto Lorcan, laying him out and allowing Breeze to pin him for the win. Now, the duo will get ready to face off against Imperium witj the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line.

After clearing the ring, Fandango floors Wilde with a lariat. Fandango powerbombs Wilde over the top rope onto everyone else. Fandango and Lorcan trade strikes. Both men fall to the outside. Mendoza flattens everyone with a sky twister press to the outside. Wilde and Mendoza drop Lorcan with a combo DDT. Lorcan manages to tag in Burch. Burch clears the ring. Burch picks up Wilde for a doomsday day device but Wilde escapes. Burch and Lorcan hit their finish on Wilde. Mendoza breaks up the pin. Medoza catches Breeze with a standing Spanish fly. Wilde follows that with a 450 off the top. Fandango breaks up the pin. Lorcan surprises Wilde with a roaring European uppercut. Breeze immediately superkicks Lorcan for the win.
