WWE Issues Statement After KKK Imagery Appears On The ThunderDome

WWE ThunderDome has had it’s share of untended imagery pop up on the virtual fan screens since the new atmosphere debuted last Friday on SmackDown and for the first time they issued a statement regarding one specific type of imagery involving the Ku Klux Klan.

During the final segment of last night’s RAW as Retribution was attacking Dominik & Rey Mysterio an individual on one of the screens was seen in donning a KKK hood and displaying a Confederate Flag.  The footage appearing to be from a KKK rally. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reached out to WWE for a statement regarding the matter and got the following response:

“This abhorrent behavior does not reflect WWE‘s values and we have zero tolerance for these unacceptable acts. We are working to ban those involved from future events and per our policies, any inappropriate actions result in the removal from the live stream.”

That hasn’t been the only unintended content pop up on screen. Also last night during RAW, someone shared an image of Chris Benoit and during the airing of SummerSlam, another individual blacked their screen out with the hashtag “#FireVelveteenDream” following the NXT star’s controversial return to WWE programming after allegations of inappropriate correspondence was made.
