Bandido & Ultimo Guerrero Test Positive For COVID-19, Force Changes To CMLL Anniversary Show

CMLL’s 87th Anniversary Show is receiving quite the shake-up due to the novel coronavirus. The promotion announced today that both Bandido and Ultimo Guerrero are out of the event due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Ultimo Guerrero was supposed to defend the World Trios Championship with Euforia and Gran Guerrero against Hechicero, El Terrible and Templario. Instead, Titan will defend the CMLL World Welterweight Championship against Soberano Jr. Meanwhile, Bandido was set to face off against Volador Jr. for the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship. As a result, Templario will challenge Volador Jr. for the belt in his stead.

CMLL’s 87th Anniversary Show will take place Sept. 25.
