Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced on Tuesday that the company would remain on hiatus, with no specific plans to return at the moment due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The company released a statement on Tuesday night that confirmed the news (H/TLuchablog), which followed the cancellation of all of its shows through this week. This decision is clearly linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, as positive case numbers continue to surge. At the very least, it seems like the promotion is playing it safe and being proactive.
Currently, CMLL’s next show planned is set for January 30, 2022. As of now, though, it’s unclear when the company is planning on returning to live events, so fans will have to be a bit patient until more information is revealed.
