New Japan Pro-Wrestling Announces Participants for Best of Super Juniors 27 & Super J Cup 2020

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the participants for the 27th Best of Super Junior tournament during the intermission of Monday’s Road to Power Struggle show in Korakuen Hall. This year’s tournament will see 10 wrestlers in a single block, with the tournament running from Nov. 15th to Dec. 11th on NJPWWorld.com.

With last year’s winner, Will Ospreay, graduating to heavyweight, there’s is fresh opportunity for NJPW newcomers like Robbie Eagles, DOUKI & Master Wato. Master Wato is the only debut in this year’s tournament.

NJPW Best of Super Juniors 27 participants:

  • Ryusuke Taguchi (15th tournament, 2012 winner)
  • Master Wato (tournament debut)
  • SHO (3rd tournament)
  • Robbie Eagles (2nd tournament)
  • Hiromu Takahashi (5th tournament, 2018 winner)
  • BUSHI (8th tournament)
  • IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion El Desperado (4th tournament)
  • IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion Yoshinobu Kanemaru (4th tournament)
  • DOUKI (2nd tournament)
  • IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori (4th tournament)

NJPW also announced that the New Japan Strong program in North America will also be having a junior heavyweight tournament. The 8th Super J Cup will take place on December 12th with the following 8 participants:

  • TJP (2nd tournament)
  • ACH (tournament debut)
  • Lio Rush (tournament debut)
  • Chris Bey (tournament debut)
  • Rey Horus (tournament debut)
  • Blake Christian (tournament debut)
  • Clark Connors (2nd tournament)
  • El Phantasmo (2019 winner)
