In-Ring Segment: Commissioner Regal
Regal announces that during WrestleMania week TakeOver: Stand and Deliver will happen over two nights. The first of which will air on USA Network, the second exclusively on Peacock. Regal says the women in NXT have proven to be the best in the industry. Regal asks Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez to join him in the ring. Due to the injustice Gonzalez and Kai faced during their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match, Regal has made a decision. Regal names Kai and Gonzalez the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Regal reveals the new title belts. Kai and Gonzales celebrate. Kai says they have beaten everyone here so of course, they should be the tag champs. Gonzalez says they are going to be the champions for a long time. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart interrupt and ask for a title shot. Regal books the match.
NXT Women’s Championship Match: Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm
Storm slaps Storm mocks Shirai. Storm crushes Shirai in the corner with a hip attack. Shirai fires back and lands a few strikes. Shirai ducks under an attack from Storm. Shirai locks Storm in an octopus hold. Shirai sends Storm out of the ring. Shirai sets up a moonsault but Storm rips Shirai off the ropes and slams her face into the apron. Storm launches Shirai into the ring steps. After the break, Storm hits a superplex. German suplex by Storm. Shirai kicks out. Shirai and Storm trade strikes. Shirai matrixes to avoid a clothesline. Storm drops an elbow on Shirai’s gut. Storm takes Shirai out to the apron.
Shirai reverses Storm’s Storm Zero attempt on the apron into a back body drop. Shirai blasts Storm with a moonsault to the outside. Shirai goes up top. Storm pulls Shirai off the top and hits a walking powerbomb. Shirai kicks out again. Storm tries Storm Zero again. Shirai fights out of it. Storm walks right into the crossface. Storm gets to the ropes. Shirai misses her moonsault. Storm hits Storm Zero. Shirai kicks out. Storm attempts a diving headbutt. Shirai moves and Shirai faceplants on the mat. Shirai locks Storm in the crossface. Storm struggles to get to the ropes. Storm taps out.
Winner and STILL NXT Champion, Io Shirai!
Backstage, Finn Bálor says Adam Cole talked tough last week when he was being held back by referees. Cole is all alone now. Bálor says he beat Cole to win the NXT Championship, he’s going to beat him again to keep it.
