Kylie Rae Signs With NWA, Pins Melina In Tag Team Match (Updated)

Kylie Rae has signed with the National Wrestling Alliance.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported the news in a tweet on Sunday, the same day Rae competed at NWA When Our Shadows Fall. At the pay-per-view, Rae pinned former WWE Women’s Champion Melina in a tag team match where Rae teamed up with Taryn Terrell. Melina’s partner was former NWA World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa.

“NWA says Kylie Rae has signed a deal there,” wrote Ross Sapp. “I reached out to IMPACT this week regarding her contract status there and didn’t hear back.”

NWA broadcaster Joe Galli confirmed the news during the pay-per-view.

Rae walked away from wrestling last fall; she pulled out of her scheduled match at IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory in October. But she previously announced that she’d be returning to the industry in June, and it seems that she’ll be calling NWA her home for the time being.

Update: Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that NWA and IMPACT Wrestling have agreed to let Rae sign this agreement:

“…Rae had remained under contract to Impact Wrestling, but PWInsider.com has confirmed that the NWA and Impact worked out an agreement over the last several weeks, allowing Rae to move on and sign with the NWA,” wrote Johnson. “We are told that the two sides came to terms within the last 4-5 days.”
