On paper, most fans expected Miro to utterly crush Lee Johnson en route to a successful TNT Championship defense Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite: Homecoming. Instead, Johnson practically dominated the match at a few points. The challenger got a lot of offense in, and it seemed like he had Miro on the ropes.

“The Redeemer” might have underestimated his opponent, but he quickly corrected the error of his ways. In the end, he overpowered Johnson and made him tap out to the Game Over in order to retain the title.

Despite the loss, Johnson more than held his own, and he certainly proved himself by putting up a fight against “The Redeemer.”
