La Rebelión won the NWA World Tag Team Championship at NWA 73, but they had a lot of help in doing so.
Ahead of their title match against Aron Stevens and JR Kratos at the pay-per-view, Konnan accompanied La Rebelión to the ring. The legendary manager, booker/promoter and overall jack of all trades made all the difference on Sunday night. He repeatedly interfered in the bout and attacked Stevens at several points in the bout.
In the end, Konnan directly swayed the outcome. He distracted the referee and allowed La Rebelión to hit Stevens with a low blow and their Mark of the Beast finishing move for the victory.
