Sami Zayn continues his ways of manipulation and now he’s looking to further hammer a wedge between father and son. After his third victory against Dominik Mysterio on last week’s SmackDown, Zayn spoke in a digital exclusive backstage. Still with an air of arrogance, Zayn gives credit for Dominik displaying improvement over the course of their trio of matches.
“He has shown improvement every single time I’ve been in the ring with him,” Sami said of Dominik before addressing what he believes is the real elephant in the room. “One can’t help but notice the common denominator in each of these losses however, is Rey Mysterio somehow finding his way to ringside despite him saying, ‘Dom, it’s time to for you to spread your wings and you’re gonna stand on your own, be your own man.” He says this to him, but he can’t let go and he’s out there conveniently finding a reason to be ringside each time and what happens each time is Sami Zayn wins! Every time.”
Sami further ran down Rey with personal jabs at the legend’s parenting skills in a Tweet that accompanied the video, stating, “Credit where it’s due – firstly, to me, but also to Dominik, an incredible rookie who (naturally) lost to me 3 times in a row, but improved hugely in each bout. Rey Mysterio however, is proving that being the GOAT doesn’t necessarily extend to parenting.”
