Bron Breakker & Tommaso Ciampa Beat Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland After Kyle O’Reilly Interferes

Bron Breakker has every bit of his famous daddy and uncle in him, as Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland were all but “Steiner-ized” in the main event of WWE NXT. Breakker joined forces with NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa to face the heels from across the pond in a match was made in the opening segment of the program. From bell to bell, there were plenty of opportunities for the upstart Breakker to display his family legacy.

Complete with “Bite Me” written on his boots, Breaker unloaded plenty of signature Steiner moves, including the Steiner Recliner and the classic belly-to-belly suplex. Plus, Dunne and Holland’s past transgressions got the better of the two, as Kyle O’Reilly came out for some retribution after they took him out of the NXT Championship match last week. O’Reilly’s interference allowed Ciampa to hit a Widow’s Bell DDT on Dunne, and Breakker secured the victory after a Goldberg-esque press slam on Holland.

After the match, Breakker and Ciampa respectfully celebrated together after the young star was too hesitant about releasing the title back to Ciampa. Earlier in the night, Breakker and Ciampa shared a friendly, yet somewhat tense moment backstage, as Breakker clearly had his eyes on “Goldie” in a bit of foreshadowing. This tease was repeated later in the night, as it’s quite clear that Breakker wants to challenge for the title sooner rather than later.
