Viewership Numbers Are In For MLW Fightland On VICE TV

MLW Fightland aired on VICE TV yesterday evening and the viewership numbers are in courtesy of Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics. According to Thurston’s report, Fightland accrued an audience of 40,000 viewers. The event premiered right after last night’s episode of Dark Side of The Ring which featured Johnny K9. As far as the 18-49 male demographic goes, Fightland had a viewership of 16,000, giving it a 0.01 rating. Dark Side of The Ring received an audience of 137,000 and garnered a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 male demographic.

Fightland had their one-hour program with two major title fights and two major title changes. The opening bout had Myron Reed defending his World Middleweight Title against Tajiri, Aramis and Arez in which Tajiri came out the new champion. The main event featured Alex Hammerstone and Jacob Fatu, both who have held their titles for the better part of two years straight. Hammerstone, the National Openweight Champion put his title on the line against the World Heavyweight Champion Fatu in a “Title For Title” fight and it was Hammerstone who came out victorious to end the show. MLW also had the big announcement that Will Ospreay would be competing for the promotion in the fall.
