Shane Thorne Comments On His WWE Release

Shane Thorne (RETRIBUTION member Slapjack) was among the latest round of WWE releases last night.

After making a few jokes on social media to lighten the mood, Shane Thorne took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to his fans regarding yesterday’s WWE release:

“All jokes aside I got nothing to be mad about. I had a financially great run, met some cool people, traveled and had plenty of laughs. I have some great stories to tell in the future but for now… Let’s go 90 days! 90 days and I’m coming for you @jesseLplate *skull emoji*,” Shane Thorne tweeted.

There are plenty of options in Shane Thorne’s future when his 90-day non-compete expires with WWE, but you best believe there are plenty of fans that are hopeful for a reunion with Mikey Nicholls (FKA Nick Miller) to reform The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TM61).

Since his WWE release, Nicholls has been working for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and EPW in Australia. It shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see Thorne in one of these companies next year.

Throughout 2021, WWE has released 80 men and women from their roster due to “budget cuts.” With any luck, this is the last of the releases for the year, but we also thought that two weeks ago.
