Final Member Of Team SmackDown To Be Determined In Fatal 4-Way On 11/19 WWE SmackDown

Who’s the fifth man?

Team SmackDown currently has a vacant spot, and WWE has announced a Fatal 4-Way bout to determine the final member of the team on the November 19 episode.

Ricochet, Sheamus, Jinder Mahal and Cesaro will face off for the right to represent the blue brand at WWE Survivor Series on November 21. The winner of this bout will join Drew McIntyre, King Woods, Happy Corbin and Jeff Hardy on the team.

The official preview from the WWE website is as follows:

The SmackDown Survivor Series team needs a fifth member, and four men will battle it out tonight to earn that spot.

After Sami Zayn was ousted from the team thanks to a defeat by Jeff Hardy, a vacant spot needs to be filled, so Ricochet, Cesaro, Sheamus and Jinder Mahal will go toe-to-toe in a huge Fatal 4-Way Match to earn that distinction.

Who will join Hardy, Drew McIntyre, King Woods and Happy Corbin on a star-studded Survivor Series squad?

Ricochet is a former WWE United States Champion, and both Sheamus and Jinder Mahal are former WWE Champions. Cesaro once held the WWE United States Championship, and he is a five-time tag team champion.

This bout will mark Sheamus’ first match on WWE TV since September 27. He moved to SmackDown in the 2021 WWE Draft, but he hasn’t appeared on the show yet.

Plus, WWE announced that Universal Champion Roman Reigns will take the throne on Friday night, one week after he took King Woods’ crown:

There is only room for one ruler on Friday nights, and “The Head of the Table” Roman Reigns will claim his place atop the throne of SmackDown tonight.

Last week, the Universal Champion met King Woods in singles combat to stake claim to his Island of Relevancy.

Just when it looked like King Woods could pull off an upset, The Usos appeared out of nowhere to overwhelm him. The Bloodline ripped the crown from King Woods’ head as a triumphant Reigns was crowned by his cousins.

The updated card is as follows:

  • Shotzi vs. Sasha Banks
  • Winner Joins Team SmackDown: Cesaro vs. Ricochet vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Sheamus
  • Roman Reigns takes the throne
