NJPW STRONG Results, Black Tiger Joins Team Filthy (11/27)

New Japan Pro Wrestling presented another edition of NJPW STRONG on Sunday. Featuring the final set of matches from the NJPW Showdown tapings in Philadelphia, PA, the major news of the show was Rocky Romero being attacked by a new generation of the Black Tiger, the 8th wrestler to wear the hood.

The attack may have cost Team Filthy the match but it sent a message to Rocky Romero, who leader Tom Lawlor feels is holding Team Filthy back. Lawlor brought in Black Tiger to remind Romero that they have him in their sights.

Elsewhere on the card, Daniel Garcia teamed with Brody King & Chris Dickinson to defeat Stray Dog Army in a hard-hitting tag match. Plus Jonathan Gresham wrestled Alex Coughlin in a near 10-minute masterpiece.

Garcia and Gresham met later in the night, when Garcia challenged the former ROH PURE Champion to a match.

In the main event Suzuki-gun triumphed over AEW’s Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston in a wild Philly Street Fight that saw both teams make ample use of the former-ECW Arena.

*broadcast of this week’s NJPW STRONG was delayed due to technical difficulties hence the later results.
