Rok-C is bringing the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship to IMPACT Wrestling to face Deonna Purrazzo.
We already know that Chris Sabin will be challenging for the Ring of Honor World Championship against Jonathan Gresham at IMPACT Hard to Kill in a Pure Rules match. But George Iceman of Before the IMPACT has confirmed that Rok-C will be defending her Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship against Deonna Purrazzo on the January 13 episode of IMPACT. This huge title opportunity will occur just mere days after Purrazzo’s Texas Death Match against Mickie James for the Knockouts Championship.
The matchup between Deonna Purrazzo and Rok-C was presented at Ring of Honor Final Battle as a “winner take all” bout. This would require Purrazzo to defeat Mickie James at IMPACT Hard to Kill on January 8 to keep this stipulation intact.
With two Ring of Honor Championships being defended inside of an IMPACT Wrestling ring, one has to wonder what sort of relationship the two companies are establishing with one another going into 2022.
With Ring of Honor on hiatus until April, it makes complete sense for their talents to work at IMPACT until the company returns. It will be interesting to see how things progress in the coming months.
