AEW Rampage Results (1/7/22): Adam Cole Takes On Jake Atlas And More

On Friday Night, All Elite Wrestling delivered another edition of AEW Rampage. On this week’s show, Adam Cole will take on Jake Atlas in a huge match, while elsewhere, Ruby Soho and Riho will team up to take on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter. Finally, a huge, six-man No Disqualification match will take place.

AEW Rampage (1/7/22) Results:

Match 1: Adam Cole def. Jake Atlas via submission

In a huge win, Cole walked into the match extremely cocky, and backed it up once inside the ring. Towards the end of the match, Cole was able to fight his way back from nearly losing and hit Atlas with a massive superkick. He continued his assault on the ground, before missing the Panama Sunrise on him. However, Cole was able to lock in a kneebar on Atlas, forcing him to tap out for the win.

Match 2: Hook def. Aaron Solo via submission

Hook walked out with a huge win tonight after overcoming an early flurry of attacks from Aaron Solo. As the match came to an end, Hook was able to lock Solo into a submission that forced his opponent to tap out. After the match, Hook was approached by QT Marshall, and promptly began attacking him before heading into the locker room.

Match 3: Ruby Soho & Riho def. Dr. Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter via pinfall

Riho and Soho nearly won this earlier in the match, but some late momentum from the duo of Baker and Hayter stopped that from happening. However, it was still Soho and Riho that walked away on top, as Riho absolutely dominated the match late after tagging in for a tired Soho. In the end, she was able to pin Baker and earn her and Soho a much-needed victory ahead of Riho’s huge match at Battle of the Belts.

Match 4: Eddie Kingston and Santa & Ortiz def. Daniel Garcia & Team 2point0 via pinfall

In a brutal No Disqualification match for this six-man tag team bout, it was Kingston and his crew that walked out with a win. Towards the end of the match, Garcia was ambushed in the ring by all three of his opponents, and after Jeff Parker came in to help, he was hit with a brutal double-team finisher by Santana & Ortiz for the win.

Following the match, Garcia and Team 2point0 weren’t happy, and proceeded to brutally attack an injured Kingston and Santa & Ortiz. Unable to watch and do nothing, Chris Jericho threw down his headset and ran from the commentary table and into the ring, breaking things up and saving the three superstars.
