GCW Most Notorious Results (1/14/21): Matt Cardona, Rich Swann, Alex Shelley And More Compete

Tony Deppen vs. Dark Sheik

Deppen and Sheik wage war for several minutes and trade thunderous blows. Sheik catches Deppen with a superkick, but he gans momentum with a piledriver. Sheik hits Deppen below the belt and gets a two count with a roll-up. A stiff kick rocks Deppen, but he fires up and locks in the Chicken [Cattle] Mutilation for the win.

Winner: Tony Deppen

In-ring segment: Sabu

The fans give the legendary Sabu a warm reception. He strikes a pose in the ring, but before he can say anything, the arrival of Atticus Cogar interrupts him. Standing on a platform in the crowd, Cogar says Sabu used to have a presence, but now all he does is make appearances in shoot interviews. He criticizes Sabu by calling him an old man with a broken break account and threatens to “f—” him up, but Matthew Justice attacks him from behind.

Atticus Cogar vs. Matthew Justice

The match is off to the races, and Justice teaches Cogar a painful lesson about respect. In the ring, Sabu throws a chair at Cogar. Justice also gives Cogar a taste of the cold steel. He blasts his opponent with a stiff chair shot to the back.

The brawl, which is mostly controlled by Justice, spills back into the crowd and up by the disco floor. Cogar dumps Justice with a back body-drop off a platform and down to the floor below. He then dives onto Justice and the referee. Cogar wraps a chair around Justice’s neck and throws him to the ground. He mocks Sabu’s classic taunt and gets his signature skewer, but Justice fights him off. Justice flips off a stage and crashes down onto Cogar on the floor below. The match finally finds its way back to the ring, and Cogar continues to use chairs to brutalize Justice.

He slams his opponent onto the steel for a two count. Cogar stabs Justice with his skewers and blasts him with a chair shot. The combination of a chair shot and a headlock driver still doesn’t put Justice down. He keeps fighting and eating chair shots, and he hits a diving splash for a near fall. Suddenly, Cogar’s allies, Gregory Iron and Bobby Beverly have grabbed Sabu, and the distraction gives Cogar enough room to roll Justice up for the win.

Winner: Atticus Cogar

After the match, Cogar talks some trash, and Justice grabs a microphone. He credits Sabu for inspiring him to follow his own path in his career and praises the legend for being an innovator. Justice continues to praise Sabu and hypes up GCW Say You Will.

Ricky Morton and 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Bussy (Effy and Allie Katch)

Effy and Scorpio start the bout and feel each other out. Scorpio drills Effy with some chops. Effy brings his face too close to Scorpio’s crotch, and the legend thrusts it at his opponent to get some breathing room. Perched on the top rope, Effy locks ropes with Scorpio before they tag out to their respective partners.

Morton seemingly hesitates to wrestle Katch, and she trucks over him. He then shifts course and hits her below the belt, but the strike doesn’t affect her. Katch drops Morton, but the two legends eventually team up to gain the advantage against Bussy.

Katch rallies and punches Scorpio so hard she hurts her hand. They exchange blows, and neither one backs down. Another stiff shot drops Scorpio, and Katch takes control with a cannonball. With a double crotch attack, Bussy has Scorpio on the ropes, but Morton breaks up the pin. Morton ducks a lariat, so Katch accidentally blasts Effy. A Tennessee Destroyer from Scorpio floors Effy. Katch and Effy pin Morton with the Bussy Driver.

WinnersBussy (Effy and Allie Katch)

After the match, Effy cuts a promo and praises GCW; he says he doesn’t care that he doesn’t have a contract to be on TV because he gets to perform here. He turns his attention to Jeff Jarrett and refuses to face him until he stops playing by the typical rules he has been following. Effy vows to face “anyone else” because he won’t let Jarrett drink the blood of independent wrestling.

Deathmatch for the GCW Ultraviolent Championship: Alex Colon (c) vs. Hoodfoot

The challenger takes control early, but Colon brutally kicks a light tube into his leg. Colon gets another tube and smashes it onto his opponent through a dive to the outside. The champion stabs Hoodfoot’s leg with a tube and hits him with another one. Hoodfoot is already bleeding, and Colon grinds some glass into his head. Colon keeps up the attack and uses glass to punish Hoodfoot some more. The champion is utterly dominating early on, and in the words of Jim Ross, Hoodfut is bleeding like a stuck pig. Out of desperation, Hoodfoot fires up with some stiff strikes. He sends Colon crashing over the ropes and through some glass tubes.

Colon again smashes Hoodfoot with more light tubes. Hoodfoot suplexes the champion onto some more tubes. Colon keeps fighting, and both men are bleeding badly from all the glass. Hoodfoot smashes him with a tube and sends him crashing through a glass pane. Much through the commentators’ confusion, containers of salt somehow wind up in the ring. The two competitors keep destroying each other with more tubes. Colon pours a lot of salt onto Hoodfoot’s bloody head and locks in a modified camel clutch for the win.
