The IMPACT Wrestling television tapings on January 21 featured many of the company’s top stars, and one noteworthy development surprised many fans on Friday night. Spoilers are available below.
After Matt Cardona challenged IMPACT Digital Media Champion Jordynne Grace on the January 20 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, the two stars faced off in a title bout at the tapings. In the end, Cardona emerged victorious, so he walked away with the Internet Championship. This victory marks his first title win in the company since he arrived in IMPACT at Hard To Kill 2021. Grace was the inaugural champion; she won the gold at Bound For Glory on October 23, 2021.

Cardona is the reigning Internet Champion; he is renowned for his online presence and following. Several years ago, during his WWE run as Zack Ryder, he famously starred in the YouTube show, “Z! True Long Island Story”, which launched the Ryder Revolution. He currently runs the “Major Pod Network” alongside Brian Myers.
