In recent weeks, Bryan Danielson has been confronting Jon Moxley, leading many fans to believe that the two renowned stars would start feuding in the near future. But “The American Dragon” took matters in a different direction Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite.
After Moxley defeated Wheeler Yuta in the show-opening match, Danielson came to the ring with a microphone in his hand. He acknowledged how fans want to see them fight, but he had a different idea in mind. He praised Moxley and called him AEW’s “best” world champion. Danielson then shared his belief that if Mox had some “support”, he’d still be the champion. “The American Dragon” then described how he realized that he and Moxley shouldn’t be enemies; they should be allies. Together, they could run AEW and “create greatness.”

Danielson criticized AEW’s champions by mocking the “Millenial Cowboy” (Hangman Page), a “dinosaur” (Luchasaurus) and someone who’s best known for their vlog (Sammy Guevara.) He then pitched the idea that he and Moxley could train the next generation of AEW stars, and he named performers like Yuta, Daniel Garia and Lee Moriarty. Danielson admitted that he gave Moxley a lot to think about, so he asked him to do so.
