Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask are set to put their IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship on the line on February 19th. Originally set to face El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori, a wrench was thrown into those plans on Sunday. Two more teams have been added to the match, making it a 4-Way Tag Team Match.
During the NJPW New Years Golden Series event in Osaka, Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato came to the ring after a duo of singles matches between the champions and the challengers. Obsessed with becoming the 69th IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, Taguchi demanded that he and Wato be added to the match, making it a Wrestle Kingdom rematch.
Before the champions could answer, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru appeared to throw their proverbial hats in the ring. Robbie Eagles accepted the challenge, and now the match is official.
Kanemaru: Hold on. Don't forget me and Desperado. Champions, if these guys get to go in, so should we.
