NWA Crockett Cup 2022 will feature a major championship match.
At NWA PowerrrTrip, Matt Cardona dethroned Trevor Murdoch and won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. After the bout, Cardona cut a promo, in which he vowed to “save” the promotion and take the promotion to new heights. Shortly after he stated that he’ll be the greatest champion in NWA history, Nick Aldis confronted the new champion. “The National Treasure” informed everyone of his contractual rematch clause and emphasized that he’ll take “The Ten Pounds of Gold” back.
The title match is now set for Crockett Cup, which will be on March 19th and 20th.

Aldis previously held the title twice; his second reign lasted 1,043 days before Murdoch beat him at NWA 73.
Another former world champion will be involved with The Crockett Cup event; Jeff Jarrett has been announced as the official ambassador.
