Pete Dunne Defeats Tony D’Angelo In Weaponized Steel Cage Match At NXT Vengeance Day

Tony D’Angelo arrived to NXT Vengeance Day in style, but left with a loss under his belt thanks to Pete Dunne. D’Angelo took on the Bruiserweight in a weaponized steel cage match to kick off the Vengeance Day festivities and D’Angelo made a fashion statement by pulling up in a fancy set of wheels (lent so generously to him by his cousin Vito) and stepped into the cage to a Bruiserweight that was all ready to brawl. Dunne did get plenty of offense in against Tony, but a superplex from the top of the cage led to D’Angelo zip tying Dunne’s hands behind his back for added assault.

Dunne tried to fight on with his hands behind his back, but D’Angelo made the most of every opportunity for offense. Dunne innovatively secured Tony in a guillotine with his hands still zipped and it was D’Angelo who had to cut himself free. Tony swiftly felt the wrath of a running powerbomb through a table for a near fall. Dunne did get to use his signature cricket bat and did follow up with a Bitter End, but D’Angelo did get a shoulder up before three.

Tony follows up with a finisher of his own by hitting his Three Handled Moss Credenza after a cheap shot, but Dunne did get his shoulder up. It was ultimately Dunne hitting another Bitter Ends after using D’Angelo’s own crowbar to get the 1-2-3.
