Full Card For NJPW 50th Anniversary Show: Tatsumi Fujinami, Minoru Tanaka, And More Returning (3/1)

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the lineup for their 50th Anniversary Show and the card came with plenty of shocking returns. Eschewing the usual Heavyweight Champion vs. Jr. Heavyweight Champion main event of anniversaries past, this year’s main event will see an all-star trio of IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, company ace Hiroshi Tanahashi & the legendary Tatsumi Fujinami to take on Suzuki-gun’s Zack Sabre Jr. & Minoru Suzuki, who will team with Sugiura-gun’s Yoshiaki Fujiwara.

Fujinami and Fujiwara aren’t the only returning legends. Former-IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Minoru Tanaka will team with Taichi & TAKA Michinoku to take on Bullet Club. The first IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Shiro Koshinaka will return to help Main Unit take on Los Ingobernables de Japon. Plus STRONGHEARTS will take on Jr. Heavyweight Champion El Desperado & Suzuki-gun.

The Champion vs. Champion duties this year have been handed to the tag division. CHAOS will face Six or Nine to determine which team is truly supreme. The show will also mark the return of both Kota Ibushi & Jeff Cobb, who had been sidelined by injury.
