AEW Rampage Results (2/25/22): Orange Cassidy, Sammy Guevara And More In Action

AEW Rampage will deliver a star-studded episode on February 25.

Tonight’s show features a handful of big matches, including a TNT Championship bout between reigning champion Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo, as well as another Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifying Match. Orange Cassidy will take on Anthony Bowens, and the winner will move on to the ladder match at the pay-per-view.

Plus, Wardlow will face Nick Comoroto, and rivals Thunder Rosa and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. will sign the contract for the AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW Revolution.

The results are as follows:

Match 1 – Sammy Guevara (c) def. Andrade El Idolo via pinfall – AEW TNT Championship

In a match that was so chaotic that it opened the show mid-match, Guevara was able to come away with this one after avoiding late roll-up attempts from Andrade. Towards the end of the match, Guevara tripped Andrade and right into an exposed buckle that Andrade had exposed. Guevara then followed that up with a double springboard cutter for a big win.

QT Marshall and Hook met in the ring, with Marshall calling out Hook and taking credit for most of his success in the world of All Elite Wrestling. After saying that he would knock out Hook in front of his father, Hook finally came out, which caused Marshall to call in some Nightmare Factory members to come after Hooker. Unfortunately for them, Hook defeated them all and simply walked off, leaving Marshall stunned and angered.

Match 2 – Wardlow def. Nick Comoroto via pinfall

A relatively short bout, Wardlow essentially dominated Comoroto from the start and ended things with a huge set of powerbombs.

Match 3- Serena Deeb def. Kayla Sparks via submission

Another quick match, this match was part of Deeb’s “five minute challenge” against Sparks. Deeb started things early with a big uppercut and continued to assault her from then on. Things came to an end after Deeb locked in the Serenity Lock to force Sparks to tap out.

Thunder Rosa and AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker met in the ring to sign the contract for their title match at AEW Revolution. During the signing, Baker harkened back to their now iconic AEW Lights Out match, and brought up the fact that even though Thunder Rosa won, it was Baker that everyone talked about, and Baker who ended up with all of the glory. According to Baker, that made Thunder Rosa “bitter,” and that regardless of what happens at Revolution, she will never be Baker, nor will she ever be as big as the champion.

As Baker signed the contract, Rosa immediately dove across the table at the champion, leading to a massive brawl that ended after Mercedes Martinez arrived to help Thunder Rosa. Martinez grabbed Jamie Hayter (who was in the ring to help Baker) and put her through a table.

Match 4 – Orange Cassidy def. Anthony Bowens – Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifying Match

In a match that saw both superstars giving it their all, Cassidy was able to come out on top after surviving long enough to wear down Bowens. Late in the match, Cassidy was able to put things away after avoiding some late interference from Max Caster, who wrapped some chain around his fist to try and end things. Thankfully for Cassidy, Danhausen was there to stop things, and Cassidy finished off the match by hitting an Orange Punch on Bowens for the win.

WrestleZone will have full coverage of the show as it airs.
