Rick Boogs Comments On His Injury At WWE WrestleMania 38, Vows To Come Back Better Than Ever

Rick Boogs went down with an injury in the opening match at WWE WrestleMania 38 Night One. He teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, but Boogs suffered an apparent leg injury during the bout. He was helped to the back by medical officials, and the broadcast team subsequently confirmed that he suffered a torn quad.

In a post on Instagram, Boogs commented on the injury and expressed his excitement about how he had the opportunity to compete at WrestleMania, He stated that because he flexed too hard, he ripped his quad right off the bone. Despite the injury, he stated that he’s grateful for the experience and the support he has received. He also vowed to come back better than ever.

The message is as follows:

From the highest of highs to lowest of lows. Having my beautiful wife with me to experience my first Wrestlemania. Getting the incredible opportunity to open the show! Being able to demonstrate brute strength in front of millions of viewers! Unfortunately, the doctor told me my quad was too strong for the tendon and it was flexing so hard, it ripped the tendon totally off the bone. I’m still incredibly grateful for the experience and for all the love and support. History proves I will come back bigger, better, and stronger. IT’S A MINDSET

On behalf of the WrestleZone team, we wish Boogs a speedy recovery.
