Another WWE superstar has undergone an apparent name change.
Tommaso Ciampa was drafted to WWE Monday Night Raw following Wrestlemania 38 and his first appearance on the brand was rather bland as he just briefly was confirmed to be the latest Monday Night Raw superstar before being interrupted by Kevin Owens.
On that day, he was announced as Tommaso Ciampa but it appears moving forward he will just be known as Ciampa.
On Monday, April 25, he attacked a returning Mustafa Ali from behind and all throughout the show any time he was mentioned it was by last name only. later, a tweet from Sean Ross Sapp stated that his name had been internally shortened to Ciampa.
For those wondering, his name has been officially shortened to Ciampa internally

WWE has once again been renaming people as part of a recent edict that they must do use original names moving forward and not any part of their real name or names that they have used on independents.
