Dante Martin will face Rey Fenix in a qualifying match for the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament on the May 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW president Tony Khan announced the news in a tweet on May 3.

Fenix returned to AEW TV for the first time since January on the April 27 episode when he reunited with his Death Triangle stablemates. Martin has been featured in multi-man tag team bouts for the past two episodes of AEW Dynamite. Stars like Darby Allin, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, and Kyle O’Reilly have already qualified for the bracket.
The updated card for the May 4 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
- Owen Hart Foundation Cup Qualifier: Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Fish
- Owen Hart Foundation Cup Qualifier: Dante Martin vs. Rey Fenix
- Ring of Honor Women’s Championship: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mercedes Martinez
- Wardlow vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman’s mystery opponent.
- Blackpool Combat Club vs. The Butcher, The Blade, & Angelico
- Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Santana
