Report: Warner Bros Issues Edict To Remove MJF From AEW Promo Spots

MJF‘s controversial promo continues to make waves.

“The Salt of the Earth” delivered a heated message on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite; he called AEW president Tony Khan a “f—— mark” and expressed his frustration with the company in a variety of ways. He specifically took issue with the way ex-WWE stars get paid more than him, despite the fact that he’s a ratings draw. The Dynamite Diamond Ring also begged Khan to fire him before his microphone got cut off.

Warner Bros. Discovery executives were in attendance for the show, and according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, they were displeased with MJF.  Johnson reported that a source at Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that the company issued an edict that demanded AEW to remove MJF “from all promotional spots and commercials.” He has been edited out of these spots on TBS and TNT, and Johnson wrote that while some existing content has been pulled, some might still pop up as this transition takes effect.

MJF has been removed from AEW’s roster page, and his merchandise has been pulled from the company’s shop. Plus, AEW unfollowed him on social media.
