Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will bring Black Adam to life in the movie named after the DC Comics character, and the former WWE Champion has shared the first trailer for the film.
On Tuesday, The Rock dropped the new trailer for his upcoming Black Adam film along with the following message:
As promised, our world premiere @BlackAdamMovie trailer. This passion project has become my DNA and the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change. The world needed a hero. It got BLACK ADAM

Johnson hyped the trailer reveal on Tuesday, as he showed the poster to the world and announced that the world premiere trailer would drop on June 8. He also wrote one of the taglines of the movie, “The world needed a hero, it got Black Adam” before he stated that, with Black Adam, “the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change.”
Black Adam has been in development for several years, dating back to 2014. The project has dealt with various setbacks, but it will finally arrive in theaters on October 21, 2022. Johnson will be joined by co-stars Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan.
