Sheamus And Drew McIntyre Qualify For Men’s Money In the Bank Match Again

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre experienced quite a roller coaster on the June 24 episode of WWE SmackDown.

The previous week, WWE official Adam Pearce informed both men that they had qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. On the June 10 episode, their qualifying bout ended in a double disqualification.

But on the June 24 episode, after a confrontation between McIntyre and Sheamus, Pearce informed the duo that, due to some influence from Paul Heyman, WWE management had overturned his decision. As a result, they were both removed from the Money in the Bank match. However, they would have a chance to get put back in the match; if they could defeat The Usos, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, they would punch their tickets to the pay-per-view.

The two teams later clashed in the main event. Sheamus and McIntyre argued early and often, as “The Scottish Warrior” attacked Sheamus’ teammate Butch at ringside. Despite being partners, the two powerhouses came to blows. Eventually, they put their differences aside, but The Usos’ chemistry helped them control the match. However, a distraction from The Street Profits, who were on commentary for the bout, helped Sheamus rally. He tagged McIntyre, who cleared house with a flurry of offense.

In the end, Angelo Dawkins stopped Sami Zayn from interfering. The Street Profits argued with The Usos, and McIntyre capitalized by diving onto them. Sheamus dropped Jey Uso with a Brogue Kick, and McIntyre pinned Jimmy with the Claymore. As a result, Sheamus and McIntyre qualified for the Money in the Bank match again.
