John Cena’s Peacemaker Receives A Single Emmy Nomination

Peacemaker has been nominated for a 2022 Emmy award.

Set as an American superhero series, Peacemaker recently completed season one on HBO Max. Cast members include former WWE Champion John Cena, Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma and more. Now, the series has officially received an EMMY nomination for Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Comedy Series Or Variety Program.

Led by stunt coordinators Wayne Dalglish and Gaston Morrison, the HBO Max series serves as a spinoff of the popular Suicide Squad series.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards premiere on NBC at 8 p.m est  on September 12th.

John Cena recently made his return on Monday Night RAW June 27th. There, the company celebrated Cena’s 20-year anniversary since his debut. Although plans hoped for him to return in time for SummerSlam, Cena reportedly remains in the midst of filming season two of Peacemaker. Therefore, Cena has yet to be confirmed for the pay-per-view thus far.

In addition, John Cena received a nomination by the Hollywood Critics Association for Best Actor in a Streaming Series, Comedy for his role on Peacemaker. Furthermore, director and writer James Gunn received an HCA nomination in the Best Writing in a Streaming Series, Comedy category for the “It’s Cow or Never” episode of the HBO Max series.
