Ronda Rousey Makes Non-Televised Appearance During 7/26 WWE RAW

Ronda Rousey arrived at Madison Square Garden in a somewhat surprising fashion last night, leaving fans at home wondering if they missed something on the broadcast.

Although Ronda Rousey resides as a member of the blue brand, the former Smackdown Women’s Champion still appeared during this week’s Monday Night RAW taping. Rousey shocked the New York City crowd at Madison Square Garden with her emergence during a commercial break, but the appearance ultimately went untelevised.

Following a loss to Alexa Bliss, Doudrop declared that she was “sick of the disrespect” from the WWE Universe. Also standing in the ring with Nikki A.S.H., Doudrop then proclaimed that “I am not leaving this ring unless someone makes me.” Almost immediately, Ronda Rousey answered that challenge.

While Nikki A.S.H. rolled out of the ring as Rousey emerged, Doudrop stayed put to confront “The Baddest Woman On The Planet”. When Rousey kicked her down, A.S.H attempted to blindside Rousey with an attack from behind. Rousey would deliver a sequence of arm drags to A.S.H. before Doudrop made the brief save. Ronda Rousey quickly shifted her momentum, teasing an armbar to Doudrop, before locking in the ankle lock.

Nikki A.S.H. would then pull Doudrop to safety as Rousey celebrated her appearance in the ring.

The viewing audience at home did not end up seeing the encounter because WWE did not televise it. However, WWE still posted the appearance on Twitter, as seen below.

Commentator Corey Graves would beg the question: What is Ronda Rousey doing on RAW?

It’s worth noting that Rousey was initially advertised to appear at MSG, but the way things went down still caught some viewers by surprise, wondering if they’d missed something. It looks as if WWE appeased both the live crowd and social media followers and didn’t intend to show Rousey on television.

Since winning the Royal Rumble earlier this year and challenging for the Smackdown Women’s Champion, Rousey has almost exclusively designated herself to the blue brand. On Saturday, July 30th, she will challenge Liv Morgan for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. This match comes after Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Rousey earlier this month, winning the title.

Despite WWE having a brand split, Madison Square Garden seems to be the exception to the rule this time.
