Ronda Rousey Reacts to Becky Lynch’s Claim She Considered MMA After WWE Beatdown

Ronda Rousey reacts to Becky Lynch‘s comments about considering an MMA career.

During her recent appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story podcast, Becky Lynch looked back at her rivalry with Ronda Rousey in 2019. She revealed that taking a beatdown from Rousey at one point during the feud made her think she could transition into MMA. However, Lynch noted that feeling lasted for only a week.

“You know wrestling her [Ronda Rousey], there was one time when she beat me up. I remember thinking, not because I could fight back but I was like, ‘Aw, I could take a beating, maybe I could go into MMA. I think I could take it.’ And then that lasted one week. Actually one week is generous,” she said.

Now, responding to a post about Becky Lynch’s comments on Instagram, Ronda Rousey clapped back at her old rival, saying she was actually very nice to her during their feud.

“Lmao what she doesn’t realize is that I was very very nice to her ?” Rousey replied.

Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch made history with their rivalry in 2019

After missing out on having a singles match at Survivor Series 2018 due to injury, Becky Lynch started feuding with Ronda Rousey after winning the 2019 women’s Royal Rumble match. Charlotte Flair then joined their rivalry, and the three made history by main eventing WWE WrestleMania 35. Lynch came out with the victory after pinning Rousey to become the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Ronda Rousey left WWE following her loss to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam 2023. She recently won her one-off MMA return fight against Gina Carano in 17 seconds. Rousey also made her AEW debut in March 2026, and Tony Khan has extended an open invitation for her to return at any time.
