Triple H Says He Has A Clean Bill Of Health, Isn’t Sad About In-Ring Retirement

Triple H has a clean bill of health.

During a media scrum at WWE’s SummerSlam tryout in Nashville, Triple H, the new head of WWE creative, took time to address jumping back into the game at full speed after a hiatus to take care of his health. He had a cardiac event in September 2021, and he later detailed the severity of the medical issues he dealt with over the next several months. Now that he has fully covered, “The Game” detailed how he has been traveling all over the place due to his new responsibilities.

“That’s a challenge, believe me,” said Triple H, “I’ve spent half my time on the ground and half my time in the air in the last few days. We finished TV, was home for a little bit, flew out here. My kid’s birthday is in the middle. Flew out here, came to day one of tryouts. When it was over, flew home, had meetings late into the night with our partners. Had a board meeting in the morning, flew back here yesterday afternoon. Finished the last half of the tryout, was working on the shows all night long. And I’m not complaining about it. I love it, and everybody here working just as hard as I am. Like I said, it’s going to take all of his to fill a big pair of shoes, but we’re hellbent on doing it.”

After nearly a year away from full-time work, Triple H was asked by Ariel Helwani about how he was feeling health-wise following his heart procedure in September.

“I feel great,” Triple H said. “It was a glitch in the road. Luckily for me, it was caught. It took a little bit to get past it, but I’m over it, I’m past it. I’ve got a clean bill of health. A hundred percent. I’m very aware of all of it. I’m very aware of what’s important in your life, your family and everything else. But I love this business.”

The former WWE Champion had several inspirational messages to offer in light of his recent life changes.

“I have a new appreciation of life. It’s precious. Doesn’t last long. Embrace it. Get everything you can out of it. It doesn’t last long,” Triple H added.”People ask if I’m sad I’m done wrestling. No. I gave it everything I had. I rode it until the wheels fell off. That’s what you’re supposed to do. And luckily for me, they told me, ‘Hey, you shouldn’t do this anymore.’ Sweet. I was wrapping it up anyways.”

Triple H concluded, “I have a passion for this business that has been the same as the first day I ever saw. I can promise everybody out there I’m going to do everything in my power to make this better than they’ve ever seen before.”
