Zac Efron, Harris Dickinson’s Roles In Von Erichs Movie ‘The Iron Claw’ Revealed

The Iron Claw, Sean Durkin’s film about the legendary Von Erichs wrestling family, continues to take shape.

Deadline reports that Zac Efron will star as Kevin Von Erich, and new addition Harris Dickinson will play David Von Erich. Efron’s involvement was previously announced, and now he’ll be joined by Dickinson, who recently starred in Where the Crawdads Sing. In recent years, Efron has been in films like Firestarter, Scoob!, and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, among several others. Dickinson rose to prominence this summer through his role in Triangle of Sadness.

The film is based on the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, which was previously one of the leading dynasties in the wrestling world before it was struck by a series of tragedies. Durkin is writing and directing the film, which is being co-financed by A24 and Access Industries. Per Deadline, A24 is producing the project, along with Tessa Ross, Derrin Schlesinger and Harrison Huffman.
