Sammy Guevara: There’s So Much Drama In Wrestling, It’s Exhausting; I Might Need Another Vacation

We now have some backstory regarding the recent comments made on social media between Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo.

On Sammy Guevara’s latest vlog, the former TNT Champion spoke about the latest drama surrounding him right now in All Elite Wrestling.

“Today, we are going back to TV. Tomorrow is Dynamite as I’m recording this,” Sammy Guevara began. “I’ve got a big match. Someone found one of my old vlogs, and I had Daniel Bryan holding up both the world titles at the Mania that he won them at [on my wall]. That’s just how crazy life is. That was five years ago, and now I’m about to go and beat his ass tomorrow.

“This was a fun trip, though; I feel like I definitely needed it. There’s just so much drama that goes on in wrestling. It’s really exhausting; it’s tiring. It seems like every couple weeks; there’s something. I’m minding my own business on vacation, and then people want to start drama with me. It is what it is. It’s the life I signed up for, I suppose. But it’s definitely tiring. Maybe I’ll need to go on another vacation next week because *sighs* stressful!”

This stems from a recent interview Andrade El Idolo had this week where he claimed that Guevara was complaining he was being too stiff in the ring and confronted him about it backstage. This led to a heated exchange on social media where Guevara called El Idolo a liar and said the only reason he had a job at All Elite Wrestling was because of Ric Flair.

This recent incident with Andrade El Idolo comes hot off the heels of his issues with Eddie Kingston that took place in August prior to AEW All Out. Those issues resulted in Kingston being suspended and their match for the pay-per-view being canceled.

It’s unknown at this time how Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling will handle the latest Guevara drama with El Idolo at tomorrow’s show backstage in Washington DC.
