ODB Recalls The Time She Called Sting A Pussy

ODB had plenty of memorable moments during her wrestling career, including a humorous moment that took place backstage.

During a recent interview with Just Alyx, ODB spoke about the flask she carried to the ring in TNA Wrestling. ODB said she once offered Sting the contents of the flask and he turned it down, so she jokingly (and perhaps accidentally) called him a pussy for declining.

“I did not have water in there. I was never drunk, I never put anyone [in harm’s way] but it was just in case — I had to be real. Sting actually asked me [what was in it],” ODB noted. “It was backstage, me and [Eric Young] were about to go out and Sting was in Gorilla position with us. He’s like, ‘Can I ask you something? What’s in there?’ And I was like, ‘Here, you want some?’ and said no. I’m like, ‘You pussy…’ and my music hit, I go to EY, ‘I just called Sting a pussy!’” [laughs]

ODB also reflected on some of her favorite Knockouts to work with in the company, noting that one highlight was working with a wide variety of personalities and characters.

“Oh boy, with TNA, all of us came from the independent scene. [Awesome] Kong came from Japan, the Beautiful People, we traveled the roads together. Traci Brooks, it was just cool because we were so different. We were a team and it’s not about one person, it’s about this whole division and that’s what kept us strong. The Beautiful People I loved to work with because we were so opposite and it was so easy. The characters were fun and we did so much with them, they were fun to work where it was kind of like a night off,” she explained. “Working with Awesome Kong was great because I was always the bigger girl and then having someone whoop my ass was fun. Gail Kim always made me step up my game, she’s one of the best, a very technical wrestler and a great mind for wrestling. She made me get out of my comfort zone a lot, which I loved.”
